The Data & Research work group focuses on issues relating to the identification, collection, and communication of data and research regarding prescription drug misuse and abuse in Colorado.

The Data & Research work group’s goals for 2014-2015 (year 1 of the strategic plan) are to:

  • Map out all sources of data related to prescription drug use, misuse, and overdose in the state in order to monitor trends, educate the public, and inform decision making by multiple stakeholders; and
  • Identify other efforts that successfully use crosswalks between diverse data sources and successfully standardize their data collection tools across agencies.

The Data & Research work group meets every other month (in person and by remote conferencing), with occasional exceptions. The current work group roster, most recent meeting minutes, and upcoming meeting schedule are available on the left-hand side of this page.
