Co-Chair: Suzi Stolte, Director of Marketing & Communications, JP Opioid Interaction Awareness Alliance

The Affected Families & Friends work group focuses on raising public awareness among Colorado citizens regarding the crisis of prescription drug misuse and promoting the safe use, storage, and disposal of prescription medications.

The Affected Families & Friends work group’s goals for 2017-18 are to:

  • Identify individuals in three new communities who are willing to become speakers;
  • Provide training to people willing to become speakers;
  • Create a series of short videos telling stories of families and friends affected by opioid use disorder; and
  • Create database of media contacts.

The Affected Families & Friends work group meets every other month (in person and by remote conferencing). The current work group roster, most recent meeting minutes, and upcoming meeting schedule are available on the left-hand side of this page.
